Mirror.cc.vt.edu is a repository for Open Source software local to Virginia Tech. Currently there are mirrors of Red Hat Linux and Debian Linux and the Linux Kernel.

Here are the .info and .patch files for Fink. We're working on becomming an official fink mirror.
Fedora
Red Hat's new project, Fedora . Here's an example /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo , and /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo , that use this mirror for updates.

For versions of Fedora before 7, try these: /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-core.repo , /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo , and /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-extras.repo .

The popular Mozilla web browser. Includes Firefox.
Centos
The Community ENTerprise Operating System centos.org
Ubuntu

Katana is a multi-boot USB security suite designed for all your computer security needs. The idea behind this tool is to bring together all of the best security distributions to run from one USB drive. Katana includes distributions which focus on Penetration Testing, Auditing, Password Cracking, Forensics and Honey Pots. Included in this distribution are: Backtrack 3, Backtrack 4 beta, the Ultimate Boot CD, Organizational Systems Wireless Auditor (OSWA) Assistiant, Slax 6, Ophcrack XP, Ophcrack Vista, Damn Small Linux and Damn Vulnerable Linux.

Katana was created by JP Dunning, a graduate student working at the VT IT Security Lab. This is considered beta software (standard disclaimer).
